Somewhere in France, in the park of a private property, lies a Renault 5 Turbo abandoned in the middle of the vegetation. The car turns into a wreck, but its owner would not intend to part with it. Encounter.
On Youtube as on Instagram, the young man responding to the pseudonym Fouwfy1 shares the images of his explorations of abandoned places in France. During one of his last excursions, he found himself in the grounds of what looks like an old mansion, a park transformed into a veritable automobile cemetery. And among the wrecks lying in the middle of the vegetation was nothing less than a Renault 5 Turbo, a model that today commands six-figure sums when in excellent condition.
TO HAVE. Abandoned cars. For them, time has definitely stopped
When nature eats the car
Visibly abandoned for several years, this white R5 Turbo with red upholstery seems almost complete with the exception of its seats, and not damaged. However, the humidity of its plant environment attacks the metals; the bodywork is pitted and it is more than likely that rust is omnipresent on the underbody of the car. According to his license plate, dating from before 2009 according to the organization of his number, the car has not changed owners for several years.
A not so abandoned R5 Turbo
As he wanders around the property, the young man discovers other forgotten cars. A Citroën XM, a Renault motorhome or even a boat, up to first-generation Porsche Boxsters and Cayennes. But the latter do not seem abandoned, and for good reason: the places are actually occupied.
In a video, now deleted, the author escapes the occupier’s dog, clearly reminding him of the illegality of his practice. Fouwfy1 says he subsequently obtained information on the R5 Turbo in question; its owner would refuse to part with it.
