While the whole of France is holding its breath in reaching new restrictions intended to curb the coronavirus epidemic (which has already been going on for 10 months!), A question is on everyone’s lips: are we heading towards a re-containment ?
Faced with this worrying prospect (which would have serious consequences on the economy, but also on the mental and physical health of the French), Prof. Philippe Amouyel and Dr. Luc Dauchet, two doctors from the North of France, propose a alternative: eco-compatible containment.
8 measures for tailor-made containment
Eco-compatible confinement, kézako? The eco-compatible containment proposed by these two doctors consists of 8 measures:
- Opening of schools (so as not to penalize education and allow parents to go to work without having to look after the children),
- Distance learning courses for higher education,
- More frequent public transport in the morning and in the evening (to avoid the crowds at rush hour, thus limiting the spread of the virus),
- A priority for teleworking (when possible),
- Cancellation of all public and private meetings,
- The closure of all businesses (except those which are essential),
- An exit certificate each time you leave home (as in March),
- Downloading the All AntiCovid (formerly StopCovid) application.
The two doctors behind this proposal plead for this eco-compatible confinement to be put in place as of Monday: “thus, perhaps from Christmas, we will be able to reopen restaurants, bars, sports halls, live shows and everything that makes our joie de vivre and our French culture.“they explained to our colleagues from the Northern voice.
