The exercise of the personal coat of arms is a tool for self -knowledge that is inspired by the coat of arms of medieval knights who wore their coat of arms on their shields in order to assert their identity.
The coat of arms would have emerged at the beginning of the 13ᵉ century and allowed, originally, identifying families during festivities or recognizing enemies and allies on the battlefield. It could be represented on armor, a banner or a shield.
In this logic, the personal coat of arms allows you to take stock of what characterizes you: your striking experiences, your strengths, your motivations, your wishes, etc. In short, everything that makes you unique!
