Release tensions through movement
Pivoting the upper body engages the spine from the waist and helps to evacuate what is left on the stomach: food… and annoyances. Because the abdomen is also an area of emotional tension. In the morning, on an empty stomach, this twist cleanses the body. In the evening, when lying down, it relieves.
Lying on your back, arms outstretched, palms down, legs together and folded, bring the knees to the chest, then slowly lean them to the side. Sitting at right angles, legs straight, toes upwards and hands behind you, bend the right knee. Turn the trunk and head to the right, glue the left arm to the outside of the right calf. Change sides.
Do an anti-bloating massage
Belly massage revives microcirculation and promotes cellular exchanges. It has a relaxing effect and facilitates transit.
In a semi-lying position, place a cushion at the bottom of the kidneys.
Warm your hands together to feel the heat energy that emerges.
Pat the stomach gently with a closed fist clockwise, as if knocking on a door. Start at the top of the stomach, between the ribs, then continue tapping, counting ten small strokes each time, spaced a few centimeters apart. Immediate effect: the stomach loosens.
Finish this short session by breathing deeply, then, when exhaling, press strongly with your fist between the two ribs.
This exercise, which lasts about ten minutes, relaxes the colon and relaunches digestion.
Eat mindfully
Food is digested first in the mouth, since saliva prepares for its proper assimilation.
Eating mindfully, slowing down the pace and listening to your feelings, will therefore improve digestion.
For that, here are some tips.
Put your cutlery back on the table between two bites to force yourself to slow down.
Try to chew each bite at least five times in a row as slowly and calmly as possible.
Be aware of what you eat. Observe, smell, taste, salivate… we have to let our senses fully appreciate food.
If only by taking the time to savor in anticipation, our body secretes digestive juices and prepares itself for better digestion.
Practice the “inside look”
The digestive system is very sensitive to emotions! The belly contains a large number of nerve fibers dependent on the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems (which regulate major body functions, such as digestion). After the meal, it is useful to take a relaxing break involving visualization.
Close your eyes and become aware of his abdominal breathing, calm and regular.
Release all muscles, from head to toe.
Imagine walking in a garden with the pleasant scents of thyme and orange tree.
Place your hands flat on your stomach to feel the soft warmth of the palms.
Imagine that a ray of sunlight flies over the path of food in the body. It passes through the esophagus, stomach, liver, gall bladder, pancreas, intestine …
Let its light penetrate, its heat to better digest.
