The basic savory cake recipe
Ingredients
- 150g flour
- 3 eggs
- 100 g of grated cheese
- 1 packet of baking powder
- 8 cl of olive oil
- 12 cl semi-skimmed milk
- Salt pepper
The recipe
- 100 g of the desired ingredients: diced ham, olives, dried tomatoes, tofu…
- Break the eggs into a bowl, beat them with the milk, oil and Gruyère.
- Add the flour mixed with the baking powder, then incorporate the ingredients of your choice, salt and pepper.
- Pour into a buttered or silicone cake mould, and bake at 180°C (th. 6) for 45 min.

Gluten-free cake
Instead of wheat flour, we use a mixture of brown rice flours and buckwheat (or chickpeas), in equal parts. We also choose a baking powder gluten free (in organic stores or on the Internet).
A protein-enriched cake
Wheat and soy flour (75 g each) are mixed. Soy flour provides 40 g of protein and 15 g of fibers per 100g.
The vegan cake
Mix 125 g of hulled barley flour, 100 g of complete rice, 75 g of white almond puree and 25 cl vegetable milk (rice, soy) with 4 tbsp. at s. of oil, 2 tbsp. c. of baking powder and 100 g of ingredients of your choice (tofu, dried tomatoes, etc.).
A cake with more omega-3s
In the preparation, we incorporate 2 tbsp. at s. of chia seeds or 2 tbsp. at s. ground flax seeds. We also choose eggs and milk from the flax industry (Bleu Blanc Cœur).
The slimming cake
Exit the oil, add 200 g of ricotta (it’s only 8% fat). And half as much grated cheese. Results : a softer texture, with significantly less fat!
A cake with more fiber
With 2 tbsp. at s. of wheat bran, we boost the dough because, with its 45 g of fiber per 100 g, it is a champion beyond category!
