Windows 10 users have been able to download an update for the system since the end of June. But whether that is useful is another matter.
The update brings with it an annoying software bug. It can happen that the printer, which is connected via USB, no longer works as before.
That’s because Windows 10 creates a copy of that printer, which may then be given the same name with the addition Copy1. And that printer actually does not exist at all.
Windows 10 update issues
Microsoft is already aware of the problem and even offers an extensive step-by-step plan. If you run into this problem, you can find this page the possible solution.
Unfortunately, if that solution doesn’t work for you, you’ll have to wait until Microsoft releases a new update for Windows 10. When that will happen, it’s currently unclear.
It happens more often that a Windows 10 update destroys a part of the operating system. This is certainly not the first and it certainly won’t be the last time something like this happens.
For example, an update for the system appeared in May that was supposed to solve an error with the bluetooth connection. That caused a blue screen of death.
