THE certificate of reinstatement is one of the proofs giving access to the vaccination pass to access all the places, establishments and events where it is required. It proves that you have had Covid-19: it is the positive result of the RT-PCR or antigen test.
From February 15, the reinstatement certificate gives your pass a validity of 4 months, 11 days after having tested positive.
Attention ! A self-test does not provide a recovery certificate.
In the event of a Covid infection, here are the cases where the recovery certificate replaces the booster dose
From now on, the rule “one infection = one injection”, makes -in certain cases- the booster dose not mandatory.
Those people who tested positive for Covid-19 more than 3 months after their initial complete vaccination regimen do not need to do a booster dose and the certificate of recovery has an unlimited validity, in the same way as a booster dose.
Here are the 3 cases where the certificate of reinstatement becomes unlimited:
- You received two doses, for example last August for the last injection, THEN you were infected with Covid more than 3 months later, so this infection counts as one dose => the booster is not mandatory.
- You were infected with Covid, for example in March 2020, then you had a vaccination, THEN you were infected a second time with Covid more than 3 months after this injection => the booster is not mandatory.
- You received a first dose of vaccine, then you were contaminated by Covid more than 3 months later, THEN you were contaminated again => the reminder is not mandatory.
Attention ! If you have had the Covid 3 times, you must schedule an appointment to get vaccinated.
How to update the unlimited recovery certificate in the Vaccination Pass?
This does not happen by itself: there is a small manipulation to be carried out in your Tous Anti Covid application.
>> Case 1: you were contaminated BEFORE February 15:
You have to aggregate your positive test result and vaccination certificate. This step allows you to obtain your indefinite reinstatement certificate.
So, after importing into AllAntiCovid your recovery certificate (positive test result) and your last vaccination certificate (1/1 or 2/2), the tool pass+ that you will find in the Notebook of the application, will allow you to generate a new certificate of restoration without end of validity. Attention, an update of the application AllAntiCovid is necessary.
>> Case 2: you were contaminated AFTER February 15:
For antigen tests carried out after February 15, it is the health professional in charge of screening who will generate your certificate of recovery for an unlimited period, upon presentation of your vaccination certificate. For tests carried out in the laboratory (RT-PCR in particular), find out from your laboratory to find out if they are able to carry out this manipulation. Otherwise you can also do the manipulation in AllAntiCovid.
How do I get the certificate of reinstatement?
You can retrieve your Certificate of Reinstatement/Positive Test Result, either on the SI-DEP platform (sidep.gouv.fr) using the link sent by e-mail and/or SMS, either directly to a medical biology laboratory or to a health professional authorized to carry out tests.
It is then possible, either to keep the paper version, or to integrate the certificate of recovery in the “Carnet” of the TousAntiCovid application by scanning the QR code or by importing it directly from the SI-DEP platform via the dedicated link.
Certificate of recovery and travel
Please note that the unlimited-term reinstatement certificate is only valid on national territory.
The reinstatement certificate can be used for your trips abroad depending on the rules that apply in each country. Your positive Covid-19 test result must then be from an RT-PCR test. The result of an antigen test is not recognized at borders.
