Renault Austral. Its lines without camouflage: The argus was right!

Our illustration of the Renault Austral, top left, published in July 2021 is very close to the official design drawing revealed today by Renault.

The Renault Austral will be unveiled on March 8 at 9:30 a.m. To occupy the media ground just before the big day, here is a design sketch that formalizes her dress without any camouflage. Our illustration published last summer was therefore more than realistic.

In its policy of teasers to which it has accustomed us since the beginning of the year, Renault today presents its Austral SUV, the replacement for the Renault Kadjar, in the form of a design sketch.

In the facts, Renault has learned the lesson of a design that is too soft and for the Austral, the style is more assertive, the emphasis is on robustness and athletic appearance. A tit for tat response to the Peugeot 3008 which played its all out on aggressiveness. Checkered grille like on a Mégane GT, high-tech headlamps and of course the new so-called Nouvel’R logo characterize the nose of the Renault Austral. Certainly a family, the Austral also intends to seduce aesthetes with its coupe-like treated stern, characterized by an inclined tailgate and a tapered glass surface at the quarter quarters. Besides, the brand will not be confined to a single silhouette, a complete family is expected, with a 7-seater Austral then an Austral Coupé. He has therefore not finished talking about him.
