Good question!
Good question! In this section PlusOnline goes in search of answers to nagging questions. This time: I have corona complaints, does it matter when I get tested?
Since 1 June, anyone with mild complaints can be tested for the coronavirus. A large number of people have already taken a test. But when is the best time to get tested? Do you have any complaints? Then get tested as soon as possible. Then there is the greatest chance that the test is correct. If you wait longer, there is a chance that no corona will come out of the test, even though you do have it. If you have no complaints, then testing is pointless. The test can then show that you do not have corona, even though you may be infected.
Corona complaints
You can be tested for corona if you have one or more of the following complaints: cold, cough, suddenly no longer smell or taste anything, fever, fast and difficult breathing. You can make an appointment yourself at the GGD for a test. The phone number is: 0800-1202. You do not need a referral from a doctor.
You will receive the results of the test within 48 hours. The GGD will contact you. Stay home until you hear the results. This way you prevent the spread of the virus.
