You would almost forget because we can move freely again in the Netherlands. But corona measures will still apply in several European countries this summer of 2022. We’ve listed the most important ones for you.
In France you must show your corona certificate on request. This can be the QR code in the Coronacheck app on your phone. Or your yellow vaccination booklet. You will receive such proof if you have been fully vaccinated, have recovered from corona at most four months ago or have had a (negative) test for corona less than 24 hours ago. You can also install the French app TousAntiCovid on your phone and scan your QR codes in it.
You are no longer obliged to wear a mouth cap in France. Except in hospitals and other healthcare institutions, where you can only enter if you can show your corona certificate. The mask is still recommended in public transport.
Also in Portugal you must be able to present your corona certificate if requested to do so.
In Germany Almost all corona measures have expired. But you are still obliged to wear your mouth cap on public transport. That also applies to airplanes. A shopkeeper may also require you as a customer to wear the mask inside.
Just like in Germany you have to enter Italy still wear your mask on public transport. In other places it is not mandatory, but the government does recommend it.
Also in Austria you must wear a face mask in hospitals and other healthcare institutions and in public transport in Vienna (not outside that area). That must be an FFP2 mouth mask, which protects better.
Check before you go on www.nederlandwereldwijd.nl/reisadvies which measures apply in your holiday country. It is also recommended to install the Travel app from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It provides useful travel information. Here you can also register yourself at the embassy, to be notified if a crisis breaks out in your holiday country. You can read here how to do that.
