Hatha Yoga, Vinyasa Yoga, Bikram Yoga…. If these terms don’t speak to you, don’t panic! Here, we will discuss the benefits of Hatha-yoga explained by Sophia, yoga teacher.
“Yoga is a tool for one’s own transformation”
On a daily basis, Sophia accompanies women to assert themselves and explore their femininity. She helps them regain self-confidence through yoga.
“Yoga is not just a series of postures that a teacher teaches us. It is self-development and it takes a lifetime. I have been living yoga for a year and a half and I realized the beneficial effects on my body, but also on my mind. “says Sophia.
With her students, Sophia works hard to develop self-confidence. If we sometimes doubt, yoga can be a solution to regain confidence and dispel doubts.
“In times of doubt, the first thing I do is realize that I have doubts and accept those thoughts. I will try to go back to the source of these doubts, and then I will meditate and realize that I am able to do these things that scare me. says Sophia.
“Yoga is a philosophy of life”
For Sophia, yoga requires respect for oneself, one’s body and others. “Yoga is accessible and suitable for everyone. This practice allows a return to oneself, to make an introspection and it participates in the respect of oneself and one’s body, if one uses it wisely. »
She continues: “To live yoga is to learn to love yourself, it’s not always easy, but it’s also to be aware of what you are and what you have. Living yoga is a philosophy of life, and that’s what I try to put forward. You don’t need to know advanced postures or be flexible to practice yoga. »
Living in the present moment and enjoying every moment of your life is one of the mantras of Sophia and other yogis.
What to do for World Yoga Day?
If you want to discover yoga, what better occasion than World Yoga Day. Sophia reveals her ideas to celebrate this day.
“There are many things one can do on World Yoga Day. You can book a yoga class, do sun salutations, for example, set a goal of doing 108 sun salutations. You can simply practice a mindfulness meditation session. »
Yoga is not only practiced on June 21, so Sophia recommends: “On a daily basis, we can wake up in the morning with a smile, say sweet nothings to each other, practice yoga with an intention, and above all take a moment to enjoy. »
