Yevana, a Spanish company specializing in fitting out vans, is now entering the low cost market. She imagined a motorhome based on the young retiree Dacia Dokker. Not including the price of the vehicle, the conversion is offered from €9,750 including tax.
And if the Romanian MPV offered a second youth? Disappeared in France from the Dacia catalog since 2020, the Dokker is present on the second-hand market. Yevana has felt the vein and becomes one of the only van fitting experts to offer such low prices. For some 10 000 €, the equipment is quite sufficient to go on a trip for several days. Here’s what you need to know about it.
A la carte layout
The explosion in demand for motorhomes is real. To respond to this, car manufacturers have more and more official models in their ranges (Ford, Mercedes, Volkswagen). But if the competition with the craftsmen is fierce, the prices unfortunately remain very often fixed beyond 40,000 €. It is in this context that Yevana arrives with this Dokker Camper. You can choose to bring your own vehicle to the Spanish company or to buy the van directly converted. It only takes a look on the classifieds sites to find copies with less than 100,000 km on the odometer below the €10,000 mark.
In the case of an all-inclusive purchase, the model is available with two engines. We find the atmospheric four-cylinder 1.6 SCe 110 hp bi-fuel, with independent tanks (gasoline and LPG). Otherwise, it is the 95 hp 1.5 dCi diesel that takes place under the hood. The engines must be associated with a manual gearbox. The Spanish manufacturer also offers eight color configurations for the interior, at no additional cost. Only a so-called premium upholstery, more padded, will cost a little more.
Complete equipment
There is also a fitted kitchen including a burner, a steel sink, a refrigerator and a fresh water tank with a capacity of 32 l. Once your Dacia Dokker Camper is parked, a shower and a table can be unfolded. The exterior LED lighting has not been forgotten either, since Yevana has provided three coverage areas, in particular at the rear of the vehicle. Finally, the power supply is managed by a solar panel, a 100 Ah battery and a 600 W inverter.
The Spanish developer also offers options. Among them, an “off-road preparation”! This includes a raised suspension, all-terrain tires and underbody protection. A television, tinted windows or an external 230 V socket will also increase the bill. But, for €20,000, it is difficult to find an equivalent on the market… unless you turn to the Spanish competitor Camperiz, which also offers to transform the Dokker into a motorhome. It has obviously become an Iberian specialty!
