Since June 16, Dacia has opened the order book for its new range. The electric Spring also adopts the new visual identity and sees its prices increase by €510. In return, the hatch hiding the charging socket has been redesigned for greater convenience.
After the presentation of its new visual identity on June 15, the Romanian manufacturer Dacia is launching the marketing phase of its ranges by revealing the details and price lists. If the order book is open, the vehicles will not physically arrive in dealerships until November. Waiting, customers can discover them in augmented reality via the Dacia AR app.
A new hatch for the socket
Like the other models, the Dacia Spring adopts a new grille with the Dacia Link logo, while the chrome accents give way to white inserts. The brand name is also redesigned on the tailgate and steering wheel. On the inside, the meter adopts a new color display, chrome inserts appear around the center console, as do metal gray decors on the door panels. Another novelty, the hatch to access the charging socket is more practical since it opens laterally and no longer upwards.
New range and price increase (June 2022)
The Comfort and Comfort + finishes change their names, becoming Essential and Expression. In both cases, the prices increase by €510, i.e. an access price now set at €19,800. Although it remains the cheapest electric car on the market, the Spring was billed at its launch, at the start of 2021, from €16,990 in Comfort livery. In a little over a year, the trendy city car therefore took €2,810. An increase which is mainly explained by the increase in the cost of the battery which, according to our information, is around 600 € in manufacturing cost price.
