Trafic VU has “mouth”!
The Trafic, in its utility version, uses the aesthetic codes of vans dedicated to passenger transport. The grille is still growing and is framed by full LED optics. The model receives new colors including this Cumulus blue and new 17 ” rims associated with new hubcaps. Notice the greatly shortened radio antenna. Inside, the dashboard takes up the presentation seen on the recent Combi and SpaceClass versions with an 8 ” touch screen as if suspended from the top of the console.
The gear lever, still high, is offset towards the driver. The armrests have been widened for more comfort, the central seat can be folded down and thus act as an office. In addition, the glove box opens like a drawer and the passenger compartment has 88 l of storage in total.
Loading up to 4.15 m …
But the advantage of this VU Traffic is above all its carrying capacity! Available in two lengths (5.08 m and 5.48 m) and two heights (1.97 m and 2.50 m), the Trafic offers a cargo volume ranging from 5.8 to 8.9 m3.
In its extended version, the model has a hatch in the partition between the passenger compartment and the loading area in order to be able to embark a 4.15 m long object while closing the rear doors. The Trafic is available in a van but also in a floor cab version in order to adapt different loading spaces (refrigerated, tipper, etc.).
A diesel range only
Under the hood, the Trafic utility has a range of diesel-only engines ranging from 110 to 170 hp. All of these versions are associated with a manual gearbox, but the two most powerful (150 and 170 hp) can receive, as an option, an EDC7 dual-clutch gearbox.
