The basic recipe for the croque-monsieur
The ingredients for 4 people
- 8 slices of sandwich bread
- 25g butter
- 4 slices of skinned white ham
- 100 g of cheese type Comté or Emmental
- 80 g grated cheese
- Freshly ground pepper
Recipe
- Butter the 8 slices of sandwich bread on one side. Cut the cheese into thin slices and divide them over 4 slices of bread.
- Add 1 slice of ham folded in half and close with the remaining slices, buttered side on the ham.
- Mix the grated cheese with a little pepper, distribute over the croque-monsieur.
- Place them in an oven dish and cook for 10 min under the grill of an oven preheated to 210 ° C (th. 7).
A cholesterol-lowering sandwich
Take an organic or sourdough wholemeal bread, spread one side of each slice with a little hummus or almond puree, garnish with thin slices of avocado and minced cooked chicken breast. Go quickly under the grill.
A sandwich rich in fiber
Replace the sandwich bread with organic wholemeal bread to avoid chemical treatment residues in the cereal shell. It is even better if it is bran or cereals to enrich it with fiber. And add thin slices of tomato between the ham and cheese.
A slimming sandwich
