The recipe for stuffed tomatoes
Ingredients for 4 persons
- 600g sausage meat
- 8 small tomatoes
- 1 onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- Thyme
- Salt pepper
Recipe
- Peel and chop the garlic cloves and onion.
- Place this mince in a baking dish.
- Cut off the tops of the tomatoes and core them. Salt and pepper the inside, fill them with sausage meat and put the caps back on.
- Arrange them as you go in the dish, sprinkle with thyme. Bake for 1 hour at 180°C (th. 6).
The light version of stuffed tomatoes
Replace sausage meat (30% fat) with ground beef at 5% fat mixed with minced garlic and onion, parsley, some crumbled bread soaked in milk ( for the softness), salt and pepper.
Cholesterol-free stuffed tomatoes
Prepare a stuffing with 600 g of chicken breasts, chopped and mixed with a little bread crumbs and soaked in vegetable milkminced garlic and onion, parsley, salt and pepper.
Vegetarian stuffed tomatoes
Replace the stuffing with 600 g coarsely chopped tofu mixed with 2 eggs (for the binder and softness), chopped garlic and onion, parsley, salt and pepper.
Vegan stuffed tomatoes
Soak 125 g of textured soy protein in hot water, 15 min. Drain. Add chopped garlic and onion, 1 zucchini diced melted in olive oil, chopped parsley, 10 cl of soy cream, salt and pepper. Use instead of sausage meat.
