Renault will enrich the Mégane E-Tech Electric range with an Evolution ER version combining the largest battery with the smallest motor to offer up to 470 km of WLTP range. From an equipment point of view, this variant is between the first two current finishes.
If you follow the current evolution of the Renault range, whose finishes are changing names, you may have noticed that the Mégane E-Tech Electric does not have an Evolution configuration between its Equilibre and Techno equipment levels, unlike the Zoe and Clio for example. This is about to be fixed with the launch of the Mégane E-Tech Electric Evolution ERthese two letters meaning “Extended Range” or “extended autonomy” in French.

A unique motor/battery combination
Mainly (but not exclusively) intended for fleets, the Mégane E-Tech Electrique Evolution ER is the only one that allows you to combine the large 60 kWh battery with the small 130 hp motor for maximum autonomy. It is therefore the most efficient of the range in this area, being able to travel 470 km on a charge in the WLTP mixed cycle, i.e. 20 km better than the EV60 of 220 hp and 170 km better than the EV40 of 130 hp.
Equipment and prices of the Mégane E-Tech Evolution ER
The autonomy promised by the Mégane E-Tech Electric Evolution ER also requires an optimized configuration in terms of energy consumption. Seen in pictures from last September, this version which features shields with a simpler design devoid of “F1” blades, is content with 18-inch sheet metal rims with hubcaps, and also ignores the descending front light signature, the diodes of which are here replaced by black plastic inserts. However, the car has:
- dual-zone automatic climate control
- OpenR multimedia system with 12-inch central touch screen
- adaptive LED headlamps with fog lamps
- wireless charger
- 6-speaker audio system
- cruise control / speed limiter
- reversing radar
- reversing camera
- lane keeping aid
- fatigue detector
