The Mondial de l’Auto is making its grand return to Paris from October 17 to 23, 2022. The organizers have just unveiled the official poster on the theme of the automotive revolution.
Undermined by the health crisis, motor shows have gradually been abandoned in favor of 100% digital events. After four years of absence, the Mondial de l’Auto is making a comeback! It will stand from October 17 to 23, 2022, at the Porte de Versailles Exhibition Center in Paris.
showcase of the revolution
The organizers unveiled the official poster 200 days before the start of the event. It represents a very fluid, colorful automobile silhouette. We find below the slogan of the event: Revolution is on” in other words ” The revolution is on. » Evocative of the transition that the automotive industry is currently undergoing, the Mondial de l’Auto wants to be a showcase. Indeed, the press release of the event clearly announces the color with ” a total immersion in the automobile of the 21th century: electrification, hybridization, hydrogen, hyper-connectivity… “. The Paris Motor Show, one of the most visited in the world, will be held at the same time as Equip Auto, the show dedicated to automotive after-sales. The two events will be brought together under the same banner: Paris Automotive Week.
A new generation living room?
It is difficult to say precisely which manufacturers will participate in the Paris Motor Show in 2022. During the previous edition in 2018, big names such as Volkswagen, Nissan and Fiat did not make the trip to the capital. In an interview with our colleagues from BFM Business, the director of the Mondial de l’Auto Serge Gachot, explains that he ” pay attention to return on investment » manufacturers, with smaller stands and a shorter period. A scheme that has made the reputation of the Salon de Lyon. The exhibition format could also be different from what we have always known with, as in 2018, exhibitions outside the walls.
6 months from the event, and in the current context, it is still difficult to plan ahead. The questions are the same on the manufacturers’ side. Who will be there? Peugeot could make the trip and take advantage of this show to exhibit its star project of 2022: the 408 Crossover (project P54). For its part, Renault could take advantage of the commercial launch of the Austral to present the 7-seater variant (internal code RHN) expected in 2023.
