After making us dream with the e-Legend concept in 2018, Peugeot only brought production models for the 2022 edition. But the Lion will reveal an unprecedented style study in a few weeks, called Inception. It will prefigure the design of future 100% electric models from 2026.
Concept cars no longer necessarily have the wind in their sails. Especially since the motor shows where they were usually unveiled have lost their luster. While the Peugeot stand at the Paris Motor Show has often hosted spectacular style studies, such as the e-Legend in 2018, it is only hosting production models this year. Starting with the 408, of which there are no less than five different copies. But the era of the concept car is not over at Peugeot. The brand is taking advantage of the Salon to announce the name of its next study, Inception, which should be unveiled in a few weeks. By giving the passage some first indications on what it will be responsible for announcing.
A taste of the future Peugeot style
For the moment, no image has yet been revealed. It is therefore difficult to imagine what this Peugeot Inception concept will look like.
“On the other hand, the manufacturer already affirms that it “ will carry […] the stylistic language of the brand to a higher level » . “
It should thus inform us about the aesthetic direction that the brand’s future productions will take. Matthias Hossann, who succeeded Gilles Vidal at the head of Peugeot design in July 2020, should seek to put more of his mark. Without throwing everything into oblivion, however, since the light signature with three claws and the “feline posture” will be retained.

A new generation of the i-Cockpit
This subtle balance between novelty and continuity will also be found on board. The arrival of a new generation of i-Cockpit which “creates new digital and physical experiences” is indeed mentioned. Peugeot even ensures that this study “redesigns the interior space in depth” and “reinterprets driving gestures” . Ambitious assertions which will require to be verified on documents. Finally, this Inception concept is also supposed to show “the leap forward that the Brand is about to make by focusing on a 100% electric product offer”. Future STLA platforms will in fact be developed primarily for this type of engine, unlike the CMP or EMP2 bases used today. However, we will have to wait a few more weeks to find out if this style study lives up to the language used to describe it.
