Platform games such as Donkey Kong, Mario and Jet Set Willy have been popular since their inception. In terms of playing style, little changed for years; in each platform game you had to collect objects, avoid enemies, solve puzzles and finally reach the exit of the level. Only in recent years have game makers managed to give the genre a new spin in the form of the collaborative game. In this you control not one but two game figures who – often both via a different route – have to reach the end of a level where they help each other.
