Zucchini is definitely not lacking in strengths. First of all, they are super light: with 16.5 Cal per 100 g, they are the queens of lightness! Provided, of course, not to drown them in olive oil during their preparation … But they are also:
• Antioxidants. Raw zucchini is well supplied with vitamin C (100 g covers 22% of the RDI). Toning, this vitamin against the deleterious effects of free radicals.
• Diuretics. Source of potassium, they help fight against water retention (and cellulite!).

Very digestible when consumed young (its fibers are then remarkably tender and well supported), zucchini is suitable for all diners, especially young children, people with a fragile digestive system, and of course those who follow a slimming diet.

Good to know : prefer small calibers. Too large, zucchini contains more seeds and their flesh is more bland. It is then made into a soup, well seasoned.

How to eat them raw?
Season ribbons of raw zucchini with a sauce made from crushed fresh tomatoes, chopped spring onions and oil

How to prepare them in the wok?
Leave to brown for a few moments in a wok with a little oil, a chopped garlic clove and a little fresh ginger.
Cut the courgettes into very thin slices or spaghetti (using a mandolin fitted with a “comb”) and fry them very quickly in the wok with the herbs. Season with a dash of soy sauce.

How to feed them to teens?
