Installing a new update for Windows can cause problems. Microsoft has therefore blocked this update for many users.
This concerns the May update for Windows 10, in which software bugs cause problems for several computers. For example, the Surface Pro 7 and Surface Laptop 3 may unexpectedly shut down and restart.
Also, another bug can cause problems with using the mouse. It is unclear which devices are experiencing more problems.
To be on the safe side, Microsoft has blocked the update for a large part of users. They will see a warning in the Windows update screen explaining why the update has been temporarily blocked.
When it is clear which computers are affected by problems, Microsoft will expand the availability. In addition, a fix for the affected devices is most likely being worked on.
Installing the update in a roundabout way is not recommended.
