To lose weight, there is no secret: “the” most effective recipe consists in eating better (by adopting a healthier and less caloric diet every day), in exercising regularly (to sculpt the silhouette and maintain cardiovascular capacity) and learn to manage stress (generator of nibbling and cracking food). In theory, it is therefore not complicated!
Is it therefore useful to “go on a diet” to lose weight? Not sure. To lighten up, dietician-nutritionist Nathalie Négro recommends starting by reviewing your daily diet: every day, the specialist advises eating 300 g to 450 g of starchy foods (over 3 meals, without forgetting to count bread), 150 g of meat, fish, seafood or eggs, 2 to 3 servings of dairy products, 200 g to 300 g of fruit and as many seasonal vegetables, and 10 g to 15 g of fat at each meal.
Eating better, exercising and managing stress: the recipe for healthy weight loss
In terms of physical activity, the most important thing is re-gu-la-ri-ty: experts therefore advise us to opt for a sport that is motivating and adapted to our abilities – so as not to give up after a month. Brisk walking, running, yoga, Pilates, climbing, cycling, dancing… There’s something for everyone, you just have to choose!
Finally, to combat stress, you can turn to alternative medicine and alternative therapies: some are recognized by health authorities. Thus, essential oils (aromatherapy), mindfulness meditation, plants (phytotherapy), acupuncture… can help us better manage our emotions and our anxiety.
