Windows 11 is being rolled out faster by Microsoft. This allows you to access the operating system sooner.
Microsoft’s operating system is and remains incredibly popular. Many people are waiting to install the latest version on the PC. Now Microsoft has good news. The company announced today that it is accelerating the rollout of the operating system and making it more widely available.
Windows 11 rolled out faster
So that’s nice. But you have to meet some requirements if you want to get this version to your computer. Your system must be version 2004 or later of Windows 10 and you must have installed the recently released September 14, 2021 maintenance update by Microsoft. If you have this done, you can directly upgrade to Windows 11.
If you plan to continue using Windows 10 for now, you can. The company announced today that it has started rolling out the November 2021 update for the operating system. Looking ahead, Microsoft plans to move Windows 10 to an annual feature update cadence, in line with Windows 11.
System Requirements
The system requirements are known and can be found on the Microsoft website. As before, Microsoft does not recommend installing Windows 11 on a device that does not meet the system requirements. This is, however, still possible. One thing to keep in mind is that you may not receive updates on a PC with an unsupported processor. When the US company first released Windows 11 on October 4, it said it expected it would offer the upgrade for all eligible devices by mid-2022.
