Here is the little brother of the bZ4x. The 100% electric urban SUV Toyota bZ1 is expected in dealerships in 2025. The argus is already painting its portrait for you. Autonomy, batteries, price: discovery!
To everyone’s surprise, on December 14, 2021, Toyota unveiled eleven new electric vehicles all at once. The connected offensive of the Japanese giant was all the more surprising as this cantor of the hybrid had until then been quite reluctant towards 100% electric vehicles. From now on, the question no longer arises: all manufacturers must invest in this new territory as quickly as possible. With this wide range of vehicles on tap, Toyota will be able to cover a very broad spectrum ranging from small urban 4 x 4 (the future Toyota bZ1 that interests us here) to a large family sedan, through sports models.
bZ1, thealter ego electricity of the Aygo X?
The offer will start with a city format model, it will be the Toyota bZ1, expected for 2025. The Small Crossover concept car attests to this. In fact, the Toyota bZ1 will be the electric equivalent of the Toyota Aygo X. There is also a certain aesthetic filiation between the two vehicles, in particular similar proportions. The bZ1 will logically be distinguished by its snout without grille and very thin full LED headlights. It will be based on the e-TNGA technical platform with an electric motor placed on the front axle powered by a battery with a capacity of between 35 and 45 kWh, which will allow a range of close to 300 km.
“The Toyota bZ1 will have a range close to 300 km and a call price of between €15,000 and €20,000“
The call price of the Toyota bZ1 should oscillate between 15,000 and 20,000 €. To keep this price relatively low, Toyota will compensate with the Aygo X, whose prices have risen well. Note that the Toyota bZ1 will be significantly shorter than the Volkswagen ID.2, which will also arrive on the market in 2025. The German manufacturer has not yet managed to solve the economic equation to offer an equivalent model (VW ID .1)
