Contrary to popular belief, theegg is a real slimming ally. Indeed, being satiating and low in calories, it allows limit calories And avoid cravings. And in terms of health, a study* has shown that consuming eggs (more specifically egg yolk) has no direct impact on the occurrence of heart disease. Although they are rich in cholesterol, they are low in saturated fatty acids and have very little impact on the level of cholesterol present in the blood. Produced naturally and necessary for the body, this is what we call the “good” cholesterol. It is still recommended to limit its daily consumption to a maximum of 2 eggs.
What are the health benefits of eggs?
Eggs provide energy, would be beneficial for the brain and against cardiovascular illnesses. They are an excellent source of nutrients essential for the proper functioning of the body:

- of the’folic acid (vitamin B9), particularly necessary during pregnancy for the proper development of the fetus;

- of the lutein and some zeaxanthin, antioxidants found in the retina. They allow to prevent eye diseases such as Macular degeneration (AMD);
- of cholesterol, present only in egg yolk. It contains between 200 and 300 mg. A dose of lipids essential for the proper functioning of the body.
How to store your eggs?
They can be stored at room temperature or in the fridge, the main thing is to maintain the same temperature to prevent water condensation on their surface. The recommended consumption date (DCR) is set at 28 days after the egg is laid, but it is still possible to eat it after this date. For know if it is still freshrely on your sense of smell when it opens but also on its appearance (greenish color or a too liquid white).
Attention, don’t wash your eggs with water, this would risk eliminating the protective layer present on the shell and would favor the overgrowth of bacteria. It is however possible to carry out a dry cleaning with a cloth for example.
