Each year, tons of waste are generated by the hygiene and cosmetic care of the French. And yet, some could be avoided.
The end of the disposable era
The disposable era has filled our trash cans, our landfills and pollutes the planet. Today, there are hardly any alternatives but to profoundly change our habits. An environmental issue but also a health issue, when we know that many daily hygiene products are bad for your health.
The return to nature is a wish shared by more and more French people. But before even taking the plunge, we can turn to reusable products. Wipes for children or to remove makeup, cotton swabs or toothbrushes are all objects that can now be replaced.
Reuse or recycle hygiene products
Many cosmetic brands, including CoZie, are starting to offer their customers a deposit on glass bottles. So when these are empty, you can send them back to get a new one or sometimes even refill it in your usual store. Make-up removing wipes or cotton? Not very green to throw several of them every day, when we know that some brands offer washable textile squares.
The same goes for cotton swabs. Not only are they no longer recommended for ear care, but they also pollute. So replace them with a small earwax hook. Organic stores offer them in the beauty-hygiene department. On the toothbrush side, it is also possible to‘buy a handle and change the heads when the hairs are damaged. You can also choose to replace your plastic shampoo bottles with shampoo bars without packaging. Find out, zero waste is on the rise!
