On the barbecue, from the pan or from the grill: this is how you make shrimp satay on a stick.
Ingredients

400 grams raw shrimp (from the freezer)

1 tablespoon tomato ketchup

2 tablespoons (olive) oil and 1 tablespoon for greasing

zest and juice of ½ lime
-
piece of fresh ginger (about 3 cm)

½ teaspoon smoked paprika powder
-
½ teaspoon ground cumin
-
1 clove of garlic
-
½ red pepper
-
8-12 skewers
Preparation
- Let the shrimp thaw and pat the shrimp dry.
- Make a marinade: mix the tomato ketchup with the oil, zest and juice of the lime and grate the ginger on top. Stir in the paprika and cumin. Squeeze the garlic on top. Cut the pepper into very small pieces. Toss them in the marinade along with the shrimp. Leave the whole thing in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
- Then pierce the prawns on skewers.
- Heat the barbecue or a grill plate, grease the plate or the grid with 1 spoon of oil and roast the satay for 5 minutes. The shrimps are done when they are pink. Serve with a garlic sauce for example.
