Prick a make-up, blush with anger, red like a crayfish … The pretty palette of expressions in reference to blushes masks a skin problem that is potentially difficult for people who are prone to it. These localized rednesses cover a reality of various origins. Erythrosis is characterized by sudden redness located on the central part of the face, mainly around the edges of the lips and eyes. These brutal blushes or capricious “flushes” (hot flashes) arise without warning, depending on various aggravating factors that relate to emotions (anger, shyness, …), hygiene of life or external aggressions: ” alcohol, spicy food, temperature variations (with the transition from cold to hot), intense physical effort can trigger and worsen these rednesses “, specifies Dr Elisabeth Berrissoul, dermatologist and co-founder of the platform and the Epiderm telemedicine app. Around the age of fifty, women who are sensitive to this blush tend to see the problem worsen with hormonal changes. In winter, women with sensitive skin also suffer from this problem more with the “bites” of the cold.
How to treat this redness before it poisons everyday life?
Erythrosis, when it does not turn into rosacea (chronic inflammatory disease which requires specific treatment after consultation with a dermatologist), can be reduced by regulating one’s lifestyle (diet, tobacco, temperature difference) and by setting up anti-redness beauty rituals.
4 anti-heatstroke rituals
1-The skin prone to rednesses have difficulty supporting certain cosmetics. The first reflex is therefore to choose care adapted to sensitive skin and “anti redness”. Many brands of drugstores offer ranges with different galenics and treatments (cream, gel-cream, mask, moisturizing serum) dedicated to this problem. The main mission of these moisturizing formulas will be to soothe, reduce redness and create a kind of barrier to external aggressions. These treatments will be chosen according to their skin type. Drier skin types will use richer cream textures while normal to combination skin types will prefer light emulsion-like textures.
2-Make-up removal must be soft so as not to further attack the skin. A soothing and decongestant thermal water spray that will happily replace the tonic lotion.
3-Skin prone to redness should also protect yourself from the sun even in winter. Think of light and tinted creams like BB or CC creams with sunscreen that protect while giving a healthy glow.
4 -After the basic care to hydrate the skin, place makeup-camouflage.
The green corrective stick is the first ally for skin that blushes. Apply it by tapping on small redness, rosacea or rosacea until a gray tint is obtained (if it remains green, there is too much product).
Then work on your complexion with a fluid or compact corrective foundation according to your skin type in order to unify.
Finish with a light touch by dusting your face lightly with illuminating or illuminating powder.
