Tata, an Indian car brand, unveils its new small SUV called Punch. The model is almost identical to the future Indian Citroën C3, a low-cost version already seen on the web in its miniature version.
Presented at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2019, the Indian Tata’s H2X concept is coming to production soon. The manufacturer has just unveiled the name of the small SUV and a first shot. It is called Punch and recalls the future Indian Citroën C3. Logical, since the two models are technical twins.
A look close to Citroëns
To develop its future Citroën C3 dedicated to the Indian market, the builder with the rafters called on Tata. Indian manufacturer who has just toast the priority to Citroën by officially presenting the first shot of Punch at the end of August, just before the Indian C3 scheduled for September.
An Indian C3 very different from ours
The interior and technical data are not yet revealed by Tata. But the urban SUV of less than 4 m long should logically take over the engines of the Altroz, marketed in India since 2020 with a 1.2 atmospheric or supercharged gasoline.
Tata is expected to unveil other elements and photos of his Punch in the coming weeks. Like the Indian Citroën C3, both models will be reserved for the local market. As for the C3 dedicated to the European market, and scheduled for 2023, it will be very different …
