A fresh face for the Fiesta and more power for the ST
We have good news and we have better news. Which one do you want to start with? Good choice. The Ford Fiesta ST has survived the facelift, which in 2021 is no longer a guarantee for hot hatches. He will be standing next to his refreshed brothers in the showroom. In addition, the torque of the three-cylinder in the renewed Ford Fiesta ST even grows from 290 to 320 Nm. That’s ten percent more. Although the extra pulling power does nothing with the 0-100 time, which remains 6.5 seconds. The power of the 1.5-liter remains 200 hp.
The ‘Mean Green’ paint of the Puma ST is now also available on the Ford Fiesta ST and in the nose are matrix LED headlights. Where the pre-facelift still had Recaro sports seats, Ford now mounts its own sports seats. It is not clear why the seats now come from our own factory, only that they are now 14-way adjustable to find the best seat. Furthermore, Ford sticks carbon fiber foil in the interior and applies some nice stitching.
The facelift of the normal Ford Fiesta
The normal versions of the Fiesta have also gone under the knife. The grille is slightly higher on the renewed Ford Fiesta, just like the logo in the grille and of course the headlights have been renewed here. The facelift comes as a normal version (with different option levels like the Titanium) and as Active. Optionally, you can now order digital counters that replace the analog needles behind the wheel. In addition, new rims and new paint colors can be ordered.
Engines Ford Fiesta
The regular Fiesta is only available with 1.0-litre three-cylinder. The entry-level model produces 100 hp and is fitted with a manual gearbox. The stronger versions get a small hybrid system and 125 hp. There is also a choice of a seven-speed automatic transmission. Diesels have been gone for a while for the Fiesta in the Netherlands. The prices of the new Fiesta are not yet known.
