[Mis à jour le 02/09/2021] Renault will officially present its Mégane E-Tech Electric on September 6 at the Munich Motor Show (September 7 to 12). To make us wait, the manufacturer unveils, on its social networks, pieces of the car: the stern with its light strip running across the width of the tailgate, or a new view of the dashboard. Renault has just unveiled a first glimpse of its electric crossover! The new model takes the name of Mégane, although the compact continues its career. At a press conference, the manufacturer unveiled part of the body of the future production model. The choice fell on the tailgate to highlight the presence of the brand’s new diamond logo. We also distinguish the name Mégane with a capital E at the end, forming like the branches of a socket. Commercially, the car takes the name of Mégane E-Tech Electric. The light signature is unique, as is the thin light strip located between the lights.

Power from 150 to 220 hp
The electric Renault Mégane was surprised a few days ago on the open road.
Developed on the new CMF-EV platform, already crossed on the Nissan Ariya, the new MéganE will retain the same proportions as the e-Vision concept, presented in November 2020. The crossover will be available with three power levels, ranging from 150 to 220 horsepower. While the French brand has announced that it wants to limit all its vehicles to a maximum of 180 km / h, this electric compact will go even further: it will be restricted to 160 km / h.
Two battery capacities will be offered at launch, a third will be launched later (40, 60 and 87 kWh). Manufactured from September 2021 in the factory in Douai (North), the new 100% electric Renault MéganE will join dealerships at the start of 2022. It will be revealed at the Munich Motor Show from September 7 to 12.
