Produced in less than 3,000 units, the Renault Clio V6 is a rare bird. It is even more so with this Sirius yellow paint, its right hand drive and especially such low mileage. Business to seize except if the bids fly.
Today, the Renault Clio emphasizes hybridization but twenty years ago, it was a show of force in the V6 version, a real nod to the Renault 5 Turbo. Stuffed with testosterone, the sedan of the diamond was radicalized with its wide wings and especially its large engine slipped in the back of the driver and his passenger.
A Clio V6 just over 1,500 km
One of the 18 lacquered copies of a Liquid Yellow paint that was imported to the United Kingdom is offered for sale at Collecting Cars. In addition to its color – named Sirius Yellow on our side of the Channel – which is anything but mat, this 2005 model has been used very little. Its odometer shows only 980 miles, or just over 1,500 km.
Given the rarity of the craft, the auctions – which stand at £ 60,500 (around € 72,000) at the time of this writing – should continue to climb. You have until October 27 at 8:20 p.m. to bid. For information, when it was launched in 2003, the Renault Clio V6 phase 2 was billed at € 39,700 on the French market.
TO HAVE. The saga of French cars with V6 engines
A clear history
Evidenced by its last revision which dates back to September 2014 with, then 911 miles (1,457 km) on the odometer, produced by the Renault K-Tec Racing specialist. It has undergone a full service including the replacement of engine oil and all filters (oil, air, fuel and cabin filter). The spark plugs and brake fluid were replaced as were the timing belt, the auxiliary belt as well as the two tensioners. The maintenance book also mentions a visit to the workshop in October 2008, when the car had a mileage and 438 miles (700 km), where an oil change with change of the oil filter was carried out.
