The car has a serious mission
Isn’t this the coolest thing you’ve seen this week? Or actually partly saw it, because this is still a bunch of pest photos to make the internet nice. The full project and all detail photos will be revealed later. It is clear that we are dealing here with a Porsche 356 on tracks and skis.
This is not just any Porsche 356A. This copy is owned by American racer Renee Brinkerhoff. She is the founder of classic rally team Valkyrie Racing and since 2017 she has been raising money with something she calls the World Rally Tour. The plan is to travel 32,000 kilometers through eighteen countries to raise awareness of the problem of child trafficking, and hopefully solve this problem (in part).
Where is the Porsche 356 on tracks going?
The La Carrera Panamericana, Targa Tasmania, Caminos Del Inca, Peking-Paris and the East Africa Safari Classic are already behind us. As the skis reveal, that means there’s only one continent left. This Porsche 356 on tracks is going to Antarctica.
Tuthill Porsche helped
Kieron Bradley spent eighteen months preparing the Porsche for temperatures below -50 degrees. He received help from Tuthill Porsche, who, for example, helped Singer with ACS. The goal isn’t just to cover 572 kilometers (or 356 miles, get it?) in Antarctica. Brinkerhoff also wants to break the land speed record on the continent. The counter for charity Valkyrie Gives is already at more than half a million dollars. We are curious how it ends.
