“When you are looking for basic health information – for example on insomnia or food poisoning – our goal is to provide you with the most useful information,” a Google spokesperson said in a statement. . “We are testing this new feature to see if it can be useful to Internet users. Based on research, we either offer a live video chat or we offer to make an appointment with a healthcare professional.”
For now, this feature is being tested only in two US states: California and Massachussets where Google has partnered with several telehealth companies.
