We would have suspected it: the bacteria present on the skin of fruits and vegetables are not the same depending on whether they are the product of conventional agriculture or organic agriculture. But researchers at the University of Boulder, Colo., Wanted to find out and looked at the 11 fruits and vegetables we eat most often raw.
Tomatoes, peppers, strawberries: they found that these share similar surface bacteria that belong to the Enterobacteriaceae family. On the other hand, apples, peaches and grapes have surface bacteria that belong to 3 or 4 different families.

But they are meant to be reassuring to the consumer: the bacteria present on the skin of fruits and vegetables do not necessarily cause food poisoning but they can interact with other bacteria present in the body and, possibly, make us sick.
