The Italian motorcycle brand comes with a modest two-wheeler
Wait another year, and then it should become easier to drive on public roads with electric scooters. For now it is – as a rule – not yet allowed. While it can be quite handy if, for example, you want to park just outside the center (or the environmental zone), but don’t feel like taking the bus. If you still want to look good, which can be a bit more of a challenge with an electric scooter, this MV Agusta Rapido might be something for you.
According to the motorcycle brand, the MV Agusta Rapido is the ‘Italian stallion’ among electric scooters. And indeed: rarely have we become so greedy with a scooter. The body panels look slick and the red-black-gold color scheme is very good. It isn’t bloody fast per se: in the EU it is limited to 25 km/h. It can also reach a speed of 38 km/h. You probably have to set the app to America for that. If you keep to 20 km/h, you should be able to drive 50 kilometers after 5 hours of charging.
The price of the electric scooter
The frame of the scooter is made of magnesium and there is even a Sport Plus mode. The MV Agusta Rapido costs 999 euros. For now there is one more early birdoffer, which offers a discount of just under 200 euros. With a bit of luck you will have it inside as soon as the scooters are legally allowed on the road. Incidentally, the legislation is not yet final, so there is as yet no guarantee that this MV Agusta Rapido will receive type approval in the Netherlands.
