Renault is the sole representative of French car manufacturers at the Munich Mobility Show. The brand varies the pleasures on its stand with the Bavarian stars of the Renault Mégane E-Tech Electric and the R5 Prototype. For the occasion, vintage R5s also made the trip.
The only French manufacturer to have made the trip to the Munich Motor Show, Renault loudly affirms the colors of France.
Unmissable on the left side of the stand, a trio of blue, white and red Renault Mégane E-Tech Electric sets the tone. Cocorico at Renault! The electric Mégane, which takes its first walkabout, is logically the star on the first day dedicated to the press, Monday, September 6. In addition to the trio tricolor, three copies lacquered gray are present. While, in the store in the background, it is the Renault 4 that is celebrating. Miniatures, t-shirts and mugs bearing his likeness fill hangers and shelves. The venerable 4L is celebrating its sixty springs this year.

The Renault 5 Prototype in good company
For the second day reserved for the media, Tuesday September 7, it is the turn of the Renault 5 Prototype, the concept car unveiled on January 14 as part of the Renaulution, to meet its audience. To accompany it, four other vintage R5s surround it. A legendary TL orange version, a chic beige R5 TX with its Fergat aluminum rims and velvet upholstery, a rare sky blue Renault 5 Electric and an astonishing all black LeCar version with bodywork by Heuliez. A small family which testifies to the plurality of that which was, in 1972, the archetype of the modern city sedan with its plastic shields.

An exhibition that bridges the gap between the past and the future of the brand. Indeed, a standard electric Renault 5 will be unveiled in 2023, then it will join the range in 2024. Gilles Vidal, Renault’s design boss, told us that his exterior style was already fixed and that he would be really very close to that of the concept. Its teams are still working on the interior. We are not at the end of our surprises.
