The government has released 18 million to spend on information points in the libraries. This is where citizens can go if they get stuck with activities involving digital skills. During the corona time, there was a great need for this; for example, many people came by with questions about the CoronaCheck app, creating a QR code and DigiD.
The first information points opened at libraries in 2019, there are now about 400. State Secretary Knops indicates that these information points want to help citizens in an accessible way. They also help to reduce the gap between citizens and the government.
