In 2022, the Mercedes-Benz GLE SUV Coupé will change its face. Thanks to some illustrations, we tell you now how the competitor of the Porsche Cayenne Coupé and BMW X6 will be redesigned.
The second version of the Mercedes GLE Coupé (internal code C167) appeared in the summer of 2019. Arrived at mid-career, he will go through the restyling box in 2022. Armed with his graphic palette and Photoshop image editing software, Russian illustrator Nikita Chuicko got down to work. Working for the Russian site Kolesa.ru, he based his creation on spy photos on which the Mercedes GLE Coupé was driving with the bow and stern camouflaged. What to expect?

A DS or Audi style light signature?
The headlights keep their outline but receive, inside, a new refined light signature. No more double comma lighting, only a thin LED eyebrow remains. The shape of the front bumper logically evolves with an even more aggressive style. No change on the sides, on the other hand at the rear, the graphics of the lights also bring modernity with discontinuous lighting which is now very trendy. The pattern is rewarding like the lights of the latest DS creations and also those of Audi. Just below, the staging of the exhausts and the design of the insert at the bottom of the shield have also been redesigned. The facelifted Mercedes GLE Coupé will be officially unveiled later this year, just like the classic GLE.

The right timing for the restyling
Among the competitors of the Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupé, the Porsche Cayenne coupé will also be restyled in 2022, while the BMW X6 will go on the operating table in the spring of 2023. For the record, on the French market, the current Mercedes GLE Coupé is available as a strong 400d diesel version with 330 hp. For gasoline, the offer revolves around the AMG 53 variants of 435 hp and AMG 63 delivering 612 hp. Finally, the range has two hybrid proposalsone backed by a gasoline engine called 350 e with 211 + 136 hp, the other using a diesel engine, called 350 with 194 + 136 hp.
