Even if the market for compact minivans is losing momentum, BMW and Mercedes are resisting. To respond to the new Series 2 Active Tourer, the manufacturer with the star will bring in 2023 developments to the Class B. Proof of this is the prototype still camouflaged surprised in Germany.
While the Renault Scénic or the Citroën C4 SpaceTourer will disappear during this year 2022, the German premiums are resisting. Like BMW with its 2 Series Active Tourer, Mercedes gave a succession to the B-Class in 2019 and after four years of career it will go through the usual restyling box. Little information had leaked on this subject but walkoART spy photographers caught a development prototype in Germany.

face change
The restyling of the Mercedes B-Class concerns the front part since the bottom of the shield and the grille are camouflaged on the images. The front headlights will also be modified, as will the rear light signature. The lower part of the rear bumper will also undergo subtle modifications.
An identical technical sheet?
The pictures do not allow to see in the passenger compartment but there should be no major change. We can count on the update of the MBUX infotainment system as will also be the case on the Class A which will be restyled in 2022.
Under the hood, theRumors speak of a 48V micro-hybridization on all engines and the plug-in hybrid version will see its autonomy increase. As a reminder, the current range consists of petrol engines from 109 to 224 hp, diesels from 116 to 190 hp, and the B250 e plug-in hybrid with 218 hp.
