At the end of June, DS renewed its DS7. The best-seller from the chic brand of Stellantis has been given a new look, a new engine and even a new name. A whole range which is accompanied by a revaluation of equipment and prices. The entry ticket now starts at €44,700.
The DS 7 Crossback is no more. At the end of June, DS renamed its SUV simply DS 7. A change of name which was accompanied by stylistic novelties. The grille has grown, the headlights have been refined and the shield now features a new daytime light signature using an innovative process (DS Light Veil). Inside, new atmospheres have been imagined. Finally, under the hood, a 360 hp plug-in hybrid engine, with 4-wheel drive, has been added in addition to the two existing PHEVs (225 and 300 hp) and the diesel still in the catalog. The 180 hp petrol no longer exists. In mid-July, DS lifts the veil on the range and prices. The argus make the point.
A new range and higher prices
The prices of the large DS SUV, which had already climbed to 1er June, continue their ascent. Entry ticket is now set at 44 €700 with the 130 hp diesel and the Bastille entry-level finish. The starting bid for the DS7 Crossback was until then set at €41,500 and €43,600 with the Bastille + version, which has now disappeared. This price increase comes with some additional equipment. The new DS7 thus gains hands-free access and starting, front and rear parking assistance and the blind spot monitoring system.
The Performance Line finish, with a more sporty look with its black finishes and details, retains identical equipment. On the other hand, the version a cut above “ Performance Line + “, available from €48,400, is enriched with the new Pixel 3.0 LED headlights. Optics which also automatically equip the elegant Rivoli version (from €49,500).
Finally, at the top of the range, the new Opera finish is full of equipment. On the program: an electric panoramic sunroof, formerly optional on the DS 7 Crossback, a motorized tailgate or Drive Assist (formerly Drive connected Pilot) which combines the lane keeping system coupled with adaptive cruise control for semi-autonomous driving. It can also be fitted with new upholstery in light leather. Its price starts at €54,500.
For the first time, DS is offering light leather in the passenger compartment of its DS7. A finish reserved for the chic Opera finish.
The “La Première” finish reserved for the 360 hp PHEV
The DS 7 range has been simplified. For the time being, the catalog only includes a special “La Première” series reserved for the new 360 hp plug-in hybrid engine, equipped with 4-wheel drive. An association that makes prices soar. The budget to acquire this version requires nearly €79,000, excluding any options. It therefore greatly exceeds the maximum €50,000 which gives access to an ecological bonus of €1,000, but the other PHEV variants are also above this threshold. At this price, the SUV benefits from new 21” rims, a Focal audio system, the DS Night Vision night vision system and the 360° camera.
