Like every summer for several years now, a new wave of hot weather is invading France. While the whole of metropolitan France is experiencing high temperatures, 18 departments (in the North, Ile-de-France and the Rhône valley) have been placed in orange heat wave vigilance by Meteo-France , and this, at least until Friday. The expected temperatures can reach 36 ° C in some regions (more information on the website of Meteo France).
Level 3 of the heat wave plan
In Paris, the prefect has activated level 3 of the heat wave plan and provides Parisians with a number (39 75) for the most vulnerable. Recall that for its part, the Directorate General of Health has set up a telephone platform for vulnerable people and their relatives to glean advice and information on hot weather: it is accessible on 0800 06 66 66, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. .
Hence the need to remember some basic rules to protect themselves and the most vulnerable (pregnant women, infants, children and the elderly) from the harmful effects of heat. Dehydration being the biggest risk.
