Dutch soldiers may sometimes have housing problems, occasionally have to shout ‘bang’ for lack of bullets and even occasionally run out of stroopwafels; the Ministry of Defense has succeeded in making much of our military history digitally accessible. This is done via the site of the Netherlands Institute of Military History NIMH where you will find an image bank of more than 300,000 photos and the necessary videos. You can search and download this (unfortunately somewhat flawed). There are also themed pages and special collections, such as old-fashioned aerial photographs.
