For years, tourists were encouraged to visit an attraction or location via leaflets from the local tourist office or a National Tourist Office. The Italians are taking a much more modern approach with the app Italy Land of Wonders. It is a puzzle game in which you learn more about the land, its art treasures and its cuisine after completing each level. In each puzzle you have to complete a path by rotating blocks. You can then look around a location in 3D, and see which famous buildings are there. We would like to see this form of promotion more often.
