By now you know that Paul Walker was also a huge car madman outside the silver screen. He didn’t limit his real life hobby to pumped up Nissans, as long as the car was cool. He had a pack of lightweight BMW M3s, old Chevrolets, Audis and also a number of motorcycles. This red Ford GT was also part of his collection. And as you may have spotted, it’s not quite standard.
The Ford GT is no longer standard
The car was part of the Always Evolving Collection maintained by Paul Walker and Roger Rodas. The Ford GT got new ADV.1 wheels, a lowering, a new exhaust and finally the existing supercharger was replaced by a polished one from Whipple. The new power is not mentioned, but such a setup should be good for 850 horsepower – on the rear wheels and via a manual gearbox. By the way, the standard power is 550 hp.
Paul Walker’s Ford GT is still almost new
After the tragic death of the two friends, the car went up for sale. In its sixteen-year life, the Ford GT saw very little asphalt and the odometer reading is still under 5,000 kilometers. The car will go under the hammer in California in the auction of on Friday, August 13 RM Sotheby’s. The highest bid is expected to be converted between 380,000 and 550,000 euros. Oh, the stock rims and dampers are included in the sale.
