Not everyone will be happy with the latest BMW M model with 619 hp and 1,100 Nm
Good news for everyone. Anyone who thinks the new BMW iX is a beautiful car will be happy to hear that it now has 619 hp. And for people whose eyes spontaneously start to burn at the sight, the good news is that it now sprints to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds, and thus disappears from your field of view in no time. Officially, the more powerful EV executioner listens to the name BMW iX M60. It is the fastest electric BMW at the moment.
Specifications BMW iX M60
The peak power of the fast EV is therefore 619 hp and the torque kicks up to 1,100 Nm. According to BMW, the acceleration is constant up to 250 km/h, after which the limiter wakes up with a start. The range is 561 kilometers. Power comes from two electric motors, one on each axle. If you don’t ask for a lot of power or grip, the iX is rear-wheel drive. The battery measures 105.2 kWh and can be charged at a speed of up to 200 kW.
The chassis of the M60 is sportier than the other versions of the iX. For example, on the back are sturdier stabilizer bars. Also, rear-wheel steering is standard, as are 22-inch wheels and the M Sport brakes. The option list includes sports tires that have been specially developed for the M60. Composers Hans Zimmer and Renzo Vitale created the ‘engine sound’ of this BMW iX M60. The sound fills the cabin through the speakers.
Green produced
BMW produces the iX M60 entirely in a factory that runs on green energy. In addition, the cobalt and lithium come from strictly controlled suppliers and no rare earth metals are used for the engines. The floor covering and floor mats consist partly of recycled fishing nets. The leather is then colored with olive leaf extract.
The price of the BMW iX M60
The BMW iX M60 costs a minimum of 134,839 euros in the Netherlands. That of course excludes options. As standard you already get adaptive air suspension, the aforementioned rims and brakes, IconicSounds Electric and steering (or counter-steering) rear wheels.
