Verstappen is fastest on a wet track
Yesterday Max Verstappen was fastest in the second practice. However, it was not all positive. At the end of the training, it spun and crashed, forcing the mechanics back to work repairing the car. Max can participate in this training without any problems. Leclerc’s crash had more consequences. The Monegask needs a completely new monocoque in his Ferrari.
Max fastest on a wet track
It rained at Spa prior to this 3rd practice, so the track is still wet when the session starts. The drivers therefore take to the track on the intermediate tires. Verstappen manages to find a good moment when the track has dried up a bit. He then sets a good time that is almost a second faster than the time of Pérez, who has the second fastest time.
It will rain again in the second half of the training. As a result, the times become slower and Verstappen’s time is no longer improved. Norris tries again on the slicks, but he shows that the track is still too wet. It is still uncertain whether we will also get a wet qualifying.
