Social Security wants to lower the absenteeism rate which is costing it so dearly. She wants to disclose the reasons for illnesses to employers in order to better fight against this phenomenon in large companies.
End absenteeism in large companies
Social Security launches the war on absenteeism at work and inaugurates a new method. In connection with large companies affected by a high rate of absences, it will disclose the reason for the work stoppage in order to help the employer to review its methods to better support its employees. It also converts these absences into direct costs and indirect costs to raise the employer’s awareness.
” In case of control of the insured, the reason for the stop is codified, we therefore have the information ” explains Laurent Bailly, head of insured services at Cnam, in the columns of Express. “In the absence of control, we manage to reconstruct the pathology from consultations and drug reimbursements. For example, if the employee has seen a psychiatrist and taken antidepressants, it can be concluded that he was arrested for depression. These are algorithms that do the job. “
And what about medical secrecy in all of this?
Problem, medical confidentiality is no longer really hidden since the employer, even if he does not know his name, knows the reason for the absence of one of his employees. Medicare ensures that in companies with more than two hundred employees, it will be impossible to know who is affected by this or that pathology.
Not all diseases are affected by this experience : ” Only stoppages for musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs), low back pain and those related to psychosocial risks (RPS) ”. For the moment, only five companies located in Amiens, Bourg-en-Bresse, Marseille, Grenoble, in Pas-de-Calais and affected by absenteeism rates of around 20% are participating in the experience which will undoubtedly be extended. in the coming months.
