This is how you make jam
Make your own jam? The original recipe for jam is 1 kilo of sugar to 1 kilo of fruit, but it can also be done with much less sugar. That’s how you do that!
Ingredients
1 kilo of red fruit 250 grams of sugar 1 sachet of jelly powder*
Prepare
Wash the fruit and drain well. Puree the berries. If you don’t want seeds in the jam, stir the fruits through a sieve. Mix the puree with the sugar and jelly powder. Bring to a gentle boil and let it simmer for 4 minutes. Pour the jam into cleaned jars. Fill well to the top and close immediately. Turn jars upside down and let cool. Keep this jam in the fridge, because of the low sugar content, the jam can spoil quickly.
